Taking place on Tuesday 21 July, the annual charity match will see Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, sporting stars and entertainment personalities swap their day jobs for cricket whites as Team Fitzy and Team Wippa battle it out for backyard bragging rights.
Since first launching in 2018, Backyard Cricket has become a much-loved tradition, using the spirit of friendly competition to bring people together for causes that matter. This year, we're incredibly grateful to once again be one of the event's charity partners, helping raise vital funds to empower young people to talk openly about mental health and take charge of their wellbeing before a crisis.
For the first time, Aussie kids from around the country will also have the chance to be part of the action, with a competition giving young cricket fans the opportunity to take the field alongside some of Australia's biggest names.
Every dollar raised through the event will help batyr continue delivering lived experience storytelling, preventative mental health education and stigma-breaking programs that reach young people in schools, universities and communities across Australia.
Thank you to Nova, Fitzy, Wippa & Kate and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for choosing to support batyr once again.
Stay tuned for more updates as the player line-up is announced, and follow along after match day to catch all the action from Kirribilli House.
