We are saddened to hear of the passing of Professor Patrick Corrigan, a globally respected leader whose research has shaped the way organisations, communities, and individuals approach stigma reduction around the world. 

Patrick dedicated his career to understanding the impact of stigma and developing evidence-based approaches to reduce stigma and discrimination. His research informed countless programs internationally including our batyr@school and batyr@uni programs along with our lived experience storytelling training, Being Herd.

We are deeply grateful for Patrick’s lifelong contribution to the mental health sector and the legacy he leaves behind - one that continues to guide the work we do every day to create more open, understanding and supportive communities.

Our thoughts are with his loved ones and the many people whose lives were touched by his work.
