We're incredibly proud to share that we have been announced as the first Australian charity to partner with the Rare Impact Fund, founded by the one and only Selena Gomez.
Selena Gomez launched The Rare Impact Fund in 2020 as part of her commitment to addressing mental health and self-acceptance, with the goal of raising $100 million to address youth mental health.
The Rare Impact Fund aims to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and provide young people with access to the resources they need. An ethos we too share here at batyr.
batyr's CEO, Nic Brown and Head of Major Gifts and Philanthropy, Lucy Steggles were lucky enough to be invited to attend the first Rare Impact Benefit in LA last week. The event highlighted the importance of supporting youth mental health and raised funds for organisations (like us!) providing critical mental health tools and resources for young people around the world.

"It's amazing to see how aligned batyr's mission is with The Rare Impact Fund's aims of reducing the stigma associated with mental health and providing young people with access to the resources they need. This partnership is based on a shared commitment to supporting young people's mental health through sharing real stories, opening up the conversation and connecting young people with support. Selena's journey is inspirational and, here at batyr, we really admire her courage - through sharing her story with the world, she's helping other young people who may be experiencing tough times to feel less alone."

Rare Impact Fund's investment will support the growth of our programs in schools, universities and communities across Australia.
We're honoured to be the first Australian grantee and are looking forward to working together to continue to amplify the voices of young people and give them the tools and skills to feel less alone in the world.
