Promoting Mental Health and Reducing Stigma
Stigma reduction
As Australia's leading youth mental health stigma reduction organisation, we are committed to addressing the critical and complex issue of mental health stigma and advocating for positive change.
We are thrilled to be seeing reductions in stigma after our programs. To read more about why that’s important, you can check out the 'The Lancet Commission on ending stigma and discrimination in mental health' where we are proudly featured as one of ten organisations worldwide that are delivering effective stigma reduction programs.

Research and Advocacy
In collaboration with Ethical Partners Funds Management, we launched our latest research report, ‘Trust, empathy, and authenticity: Promoting mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.’ We found that 95% of respondents agreed that prioritising mental health in the workplace influences their decision to stay with a company, while 69% consider a company's mental health approach when choosing where to work. The report contains practical recommendations that workplaces can implement to ensure they are meaningfully, genuinely and proactively enhancing their employees’ mental health.
We’re currently offering free consultations to discuss how you can implement recommendations in your workplace. Contact our Head of Global Impact stephanie@batyr.com.au for more information.

Creating Change
Mental Health Changemakers
We’re excited to partner with the NSW Department of Regional Youth on the Mental Health Changemakers project in Casino, Northern Rivers. This project aims to provide young people with training to become mental health advocates in their communities, empowering them to create meaningful change.
Media Coverage and Support
Storyteller Charley was featured in an ABC article advocating for better alternatives to emergency departments for young people in mental health distress. We have also provided support to Suicide Prevention Australia's campaign around youth-specific alternatives in emergency departments.
