As an Australia Galaxy National Finalist for 2025 I'm joining the Galaxy Girls in our team fundraising for batyr. In Australia, 1 in 4 young people experience mental-ill health, and rates of psychological distress have increased in the last decade. Tragically, suicide is the leading cause of death for young people. By supporting batyr, we’re helping empower young people with the confidence and skills to get through tough times and look out for their mates. Through sharing lived experience stories and peer-to-peer education, we are keeping young people from reaching the point of crisis and changing lives.
