Something that never ceases to amazing me, is how simple is it to have an impact on another person. The first 10 years of my mental health journey was undiagnosed. I spent half of my teen years confused and majority of my 20's working on personal growth and mindset. I believe mindset is an important skill and my mission is to emphasise the importance of mental fitness and help others feel empowered to manage their mental health. I just want to be the person I would have needed, when I was younger.

Although I've become incredibly proud of the mental health toolkit I've created and how strong I've become, it hasn't been easy.

I believe the key to making a difference starts with prevention and awareness. Sharing lived experiences is such a powerful way to connect, raise awareness and heal, which batyr has taught me since participating in one of their online mental health workshops recently.

In Australia, 1 in 4 young people experience mental-ill health, and rates of psychological distress have increased in the last decade. Tragically, suicide is the leading cause of death for young people.

By supporting batyr, I'm incredibly proud to help empower young people with the confidence and skills to get through tough times and look out for their mates. Through sharing lived experience stories and peer-to-peer education, batyr are keeping young people from reaching the point of crisis and changing lives.
